It's funny to read all the posts that you guys posted above
Your posts are very insightful to me... as I'm preparing to get married next June hehehe :-)
It actually took me at least 6 months to convince my fiancee to let me buy the car of my dream, a 993.
One of the conditions of me buying the 993 is that I promised her that I will not spend any money to modify this car in the future.
hmm... now I wonder if I can keep that promise :P
At least for now, I'm spending the "car money" on driving events so she's okay with it for now hehehe...
I guess I will soon need some advice from you guys on how to successfully negotiate with your wife :-)
Cheers,

I can relate. I had just upgraded from a Boxster to my 993 and I had to promise a new house before any "modifications" or "upgrades".
Now the trick will be claiming things are "necessary" and not upgrades

You can always buy your wives a wrench set for an anniversary gift...
That and a tread mill always seem to go over well.
just some advice from a single guy.

I must chime in and say that my wife of 2.5 years is a bargain hunter. I am always proud of her when she comes home and shows me how much she saved on things from a sale. I have to be nice because she puts up with my expensive P-car habits.
