Question EBC Green/Redstuff, any good?

Does anyone have experience of EBC Greenstuff brake pads?

EBC claim that because they're high Kevlar, zero carbon construction, the brake dust very is easy to clean off.

This would be particularly attractive for my 3 piece RS (replica) road wheels which have lots of bolt heads to keep clean.

I will use my original 17" Cup's at the track and am happy to change pads specifically for occasional track use.

Hi Mark:

I have never heard of anyone using them on a p-car, but they are very popular and well-liked on the BMW boards. Supposedly same no dust as Ray's PBR Deluxes, but last longer and easier on the rotors. Don't you need the Reds, though? Try em out and let us know.

Thumbs down

I used the EBC GreenStuff on my 3 series BMW and it warped the rotors in less than a month of regular street driving Softer than stock pads, less dust, about the same braking power, but I would not use them again. The seller, HMS Motorsport, did not respond to any of my numerous calls and emails complaining about this. Live and learn.....

I tried the greenstuff on a merc 124 I had, they didn't feel any different to stock. Whilst EBS are a respected major producer for bike pads, they are unproven for Porsche. Pagid are the tried and tested Porsche pads. If you feel like being a guinea pig, give them a try and let us know.
