Those Pilot sport PS2 look great but they don't come in my size. Can I fit 235/40 on front and 295/30 on the rear?
Not sure on that, but I would guess the Tire Rack guys could help there. The Michelin PS2 press release earlier this year said that 59 sizes would ultimately be available, but that only 33 were to be introduced initially with the remainder rolled out during the course of 2004.
see recent thread "A NEW Tire Question... " on this board.
I did. Doesn't that pertain to "N" designated tires only? Just a guess, but I would bet there's equal blame to spread around between PAG and Michelin on the apparently new "sales agreement" for those who can't live without the N designation.
When I bought new wheels and tires I did a lot of research and found that Bridgestone created a newer model of the SO2 to address the concerns that People were having with the SO3 on the 993's.
Its called the SO2a and has a newer tread pattern than the origional SO2 but still has the N rating.
So far I am very happy with them. The have more grip dry and wet than the POS Pirrelli Assemetricos that I had on the other wheels and seem to be a little better than the stock SO2 but I did not drive them back to back.
I am also running the 295's in the rear. (they look really FAT)

I've got OEM S-02As on my 360 and think they may be the best street tire I've ever driven. Great grip and excellent wear, haven't driven them in the rain yet. 5k miles including 800 track and they still measure 6 - 7 mm. Far better tire in every way than the Pilot Sport or P-Zero, IMO.

Hi Gary/Pete,
How well do the S-02As wear? How many miles can you get from the rears?
I hate the temporary flat spots they get overnight. I have 15K miles on them and they still have a lot of miles left (mostly street and about 2 hours total track time). Hardly rains in San Diego so all of this is on dry weather. Would I buy them again: Yes.
