This is off-topic but I just wanted to share my experience with a Carrera GT a couple weekends ago.
The car belongs to a friend that had an ongoing issue with his 575M which resulted in Ferrari taking the care back (plus some other compensation). During the process he decided that he wated a CGT.
His dealership sourced one on the ground that was not being picked up. It was delivered on 29 Oct and he immediately took it on a driving tour with the Carolinas Region PCA. Needless to say it was a bit of a distraction that weekend even amongst a new GT3 and other assorted 996 TT's.
Sunday morning I was asked to go for a ride and later given the keys. All I can say is that the car is worth every penny.
Observations:
Ingress/Egress: It is a PAIN in the butt to get into. The sills are very wide then add the GT3 like seats. It is a contortionists affair at best. Once you are in place everything falls right at hand.
Storage: None. Live with it.
Noise: Very quiet in the cockpit. All of that composite material absorbs noise very well.
Exhaust note: If you follow F1 ... you get the picture. Music ...
Clutch: No big deal. My RS clutch is worse.
Tranny: Like a swiss watch. Precise movement.
I knew the power would be there but what was shocking was the handling and even more so was the ride quality. My 993 was rougher when it had the stock suspension!
I only got it up to about 112MPH but I fully understand and appreciate the potential.
The owner is talking about tracking it next year. I have already volunteered to instruct.

Thanks for sharing. Must be schweet!
How's the visibility out of that beast? How was the shifting position for you as it is up a lot higher than normal cars.

Visibility is fine. The car is pretty big but it 'shrinks' around you once you start moving.
The shifter location initially seems weird but in about 2 minutes you know the engineers knew exactly what they were doing. The lever falls right into your hand mere inches from the steering wheel. Perfect.
