Question OT: Caliper

Any recommendations on where to get a respectable metric measuring caliper. The ones I have aquired from local tool sources leave much to be desired. If anyone has something nifty squirreled away in their tool box, please share.

p.s. I have already tried the Big Red brand

thanks for the help.

Wink

Do you mean a micrometer?

Derik, some others might have a ruling on this one. Dad passed it on to me about a quarter century ago. Japanese made by Mitutoyo, has a 25mm range and reads down to 0.01 mm.

Thumbs up

Thank you for the suggestions, Ray and Robert. I wasn't sure what I meant, but I'll know it when I see it. I think a micrometer is a half-moon kinda device while a caliper is the item in Robert's link. web page
I do know that I couldn't find one in the eight volumes of service manuals or the numerous supplements. However, I did look before I posted. Maybe its in the technical supplement.

thanks again,
