A NEW Tire Question...

I called Michelin 15 minutes after the above call (they remembered the call).
My 1995 C4 had 18" wheels added by the PO and has 225/40 and 285/30 tires in pilot sport (not rib).
NO PILOT SPORTS exist in the whole Michelin system. None. Not one. Nada. They claim more are coming in two to six weeks, and recommended I call TireRack to backorder some. Clearly, they were not too sure about the when part of things.
So I did, and asked for a guy called Mario at #270 because he had been the person I had talked to the prior day. He said he couldn't order a tire without a catalog number...asked if I knew what I was looking at. I said I did, chevrons not ribs. He asked again and used an insulting tone one hears on sitcoms when a person is talking "down" to another person.
I repeated that I knew the difference. He got curt (probably being taped) and said he could not help me.
So I can either get pilot sports in 265/35 or move to four new bridgestone s03's. I think the latter option is my best bet for a lot of reasons.
If one is at the wear markers on the rear of pilot sports, what is the range of miles left if one drives on the street only? TIA (I realize it is highly variabl).

ANOTHER Update:
Good News: I just heard back from Brandon at Tire Rack - after waiting on them for 24 hours... Brandon informed me that they had contacted Michelin Customer Relations and gotten approval to sell me tires. But all Tire Rack's inventory of Pilot Sport Rib N1s are "owned" by Porsche N.A. Well, not actually owned but contracted to Porsche NA with an agreement on shipping costs, or something like that. So, Tire Rack can't sell to me from their inventory.
GREAT NEWS: Ed of Michelin Customer Relations has acquired two tires SPECIFICALLY FOR ME!!! These are coming out of Michelin's inventory and being shipped to Tire Rack who will retail them to me at $299 apiece. Brandon was incredulous that Michelin would do this. He wasn't even aware that Michelin had an inventory of these tires in the United States. Ed of Michelin Customer Relations gets HUGE KUDOS for making this happen.
So I should be getting some tires by mid to late next week.

Jauder,
I considered buying the PS2s in 235/295. I even discussed it with Ed at Michelin (who again demonstrated expert knowledge of the tires). Those sizes are obviously a little wider so I was worried about rubbing in the wheel wells. My C4S is lowered about 1" using PSS-9s. Would you expect that I would have a fit issue installing the 235/295 PS2s?
Thanks.
