I bought the 993 early September shortly after driving my friend's (Clib). Picked it up in Chicago, 98C2S with 8000 miles. The initial couple of weeks was stressful with the discovery of an oil leak and rattles- with the help of this board, I got over all that. I have put on 4000 miles since purchase, and I love it. I lowered the car with ROW 030 springs (came with US M030 set up). Looks even better (didn't think that was possible). Not deterred by my first (botched) DIY (lost the rear 3rd break light cover, in a successful attempt to fix a rattle), I did an oil change this weekend. Went well. Detailed inside and out. Drove it to storage, battery out etc and ready for winter hibernation. Next spring, I will need new tires (still have the original Pirellis), and a 15000 mile service. Maybe an LWF/clutch, will see....Here are some of the pics....BTW here are some factory options; Motorsound (love it,wouldn't want it louder), Litrionics (great), Sports seats (very comfy), M030 suspension (firm ride, great control and feedback) Alu/carbon break and gearshift, LSD/ABD, Alu door sills, Turbo 18' wheels...plus heated seats and Hifi

Wow, nicely optioned car with only 8k on the clock. It surely is going to be a long winter having it in storage. Spring will be something to look forward to even more!
Welcome aboard aof! The best thing for no leaks is drive you car and enjoy it. The worst thing is to leave it in storage and let it sit as I'm sure you are aware of from the low miles but alot of oil leaks. The more miles you put on it the more you'll love the car and it will definitely love you back.
Wow, another new 993 owner! This is great news. Nice car! Sorry you have to put 'er away so soon after purchasing.. I see you already have thought out your next upgrade (maintenance)
Father of 3- I wouldn't have it any lower on MN streets...actually it seats lower on a flat surface. The leaks are minor; no drops on the floor with undertray of.
Cahrera- yes, it pains me to put it away...but MN winter is hard on cars. I intend to keep this thing for a LONG time
congrats on the car - looks great. I will be interested to see how you feel about ride height/ sound in a year or so. The evil temptations of this board get to everyone sooner or later
Very nice car. Great find with nice options. Enjoy. Bummer about the winter storage. Burrrr!
Welcome to the board. Yes the slope is slippery. MN, huh? You must have some idea about slippery, but this is another kind.
