What beats a 993?

I agree with you, out of the 13 high performance cars I have owned, this is my favourite. All am I saying is that technology has changed in cars significantly in power over the last 7 years.
Seems like folks are having trouble accepting it. Even though 993 can out handle most the cars still on the track, the new cars seem to pack a good punch. Unless you are in high school, no one really races light to light. But you read 0-60 figures in magazines and lot of new cars are quick. Also, I see in autocrosses, (I know its not the track) but people with miata's, boxsters and M3s walk away with the fastest time of day. Utlimatly, its the the driver.
The engineering and technology are superb in 993, especially it comes out on the track. They did used to say in 1995, that the car has more technology in it than the first moon mission in the 60s. But I think it was the turbo version they referenced.
