I am in the process of considering using Imagine Auto of Kansas City for
a number of performance upgrades for my '96 993. Has anyone had experience with this group?

Steve,
I have not had work done there, but can pass on some experiences I am aware of...
Stephen is well respected and I think you can find a lot of support in the 996TT forum.
I have a relative that used them and was very pleased.
I have met Stephen and been around his shop enough to feel he is a very straight shooter.
I have seen cases where Stephen has gone way beyond the call of duty to make things right when issues arise. Everyone can have problems - not everyone takes care of those problems.

He has a beautiful post on 6speedonline called "a day in the life of an engine builder" with photos and everything. I am pretty sure I would trust Stephen too. its under 996tt forum there go check it out.
its several page in so you have to go look for it. Great thread.

Steve,
From what I know of them, they are a first rate speed shop. Mr.Kasper knows how to build a car. You have another good shop in your neighborhood owned by a old time rennlister, MichaelB. Crauth and Meyers (sp???) He bought the shop a year ago and knows the 993 very well.

I found him to be a straight shooter too, and as a business owner myself I like that because your work and your word is all you have. I ordered a by-pass sytem from him last week. IA said I would get it mid-week sent to my house, it came when they said it would and its already installed. They passed my test.
I will spread business to those of reputation only.....ViperBob is next.

I think no one can doubt his technical mastery of our cars, just run a search and drool at his knowledge.
Other than that Stephen is everything you can expect from a professional who is very passionate about what he does and who is as decent as they come..He favors a top notch outcome and your satisfaction rather than what makes him rich, and that is a lot to say. Oh and very patient too

I had my 87 930 rebuilt by Stephen and couldn't be happier. You could read about the rebuild that Stephen and I wrote at centralpaporsche.org go to the articles section and click on "from red brick to red rocket".

Thanks again ...... Eric, no doubt Mike at K & M is great. He and I have discussed an SC addition.
Both he and Stephen/Imagine are on my winter upgrade list. No reason to park the car for 4 mths without it growing stronger as she exits into the Spring ......
I'll keep all informed.
Thanks for the replies!!!
