The car is due for some testing real soon. I HOPE there is some way can finagle a drive (Oh please). If not, I will try and get a camera inside and post some in car videos around the track. In the mean time, here is a pic looking from the drivers seat out a 962.... PRICELESS!!!!

holy cow, that 962 really looks awesome. Love the little note on the cockpit.
The Dauer looks nice too but its just missing the real racing history - just thinking about who has been racing the 962 around all the major tracks gives me goosebumps. That would never happen in the Dauer.

The library is extensive.

I wonder if the car at Bob's shop is the same one that Peter Schwab wrecked at the first Rennsport Reunion.
Here is a line up of some nice 962's. They were a dime a dozen at the Rennsport Reunion this spring.

On the topic of 962's, a while ago, Susan and I received a tour of Dave Moorses 917/962/959/944GTR and other rare porsche racers...supposedly the second largest collection of historic racers outside Porsche itself. This collection included many LeMans winners as well as Mark D's back up 917-30? that was prep'd for the his record speed run in Talledaga. And a few yars ago, after Vasek P death, I had the great opportunity to spend some time with Carl at the "warehouse", and watched as one overseas client purchase on of the 917s for 1.25 mil....yup, actually watched him write the check, and discussed his purchase with him..very enjoyable fellow! The largest private check I have ever seen written outside an investment by an institution in a previous start-up!
This 962 is one of the cleanest I have ever seen! Dave Klyme, Fabcar, does incredable work, and Bill, the owner, is a perfectionist! The new tub is flawless, as is the whole vehicle. But I had my eyes on the old "cruncher" tub...hmm, a little reverse engineering into solidworks, some CNC and presto....sorta of.....I wonder if there is a market???
Hmm....might make for an interesting "open house" display, along side another one or two 200+ mph Porsches!
The new shop is awesome, please stop by and check out our "almost daily" progress and say come hi to the DEVEK team: Austin, Adam, Bob (aka ViperBob), Brian, Joe, Linda, Ross, Ryan, Susan.
And yes, the organization of the parts is almost overwhelming!
Regards,
Marc
