I searched the archives and cant seem to find info on how large to have my car numbers made?
I surfed the PCA website as well. I couldn't find a rule or a recomendation on number size.
I am planning on a white background with black numbers. I just dont know how large to make them.
Thanks!

Chris,
Check out your local PCA website. For DE, I would go no smaller than 6" as big as 12". I have used
www.fastmeatballs.com for the past couple of years. Nice stick on, re usable #'s.

I know at our events, we GIVE everybody vinyl stick-on windshield numbers (depending on what group you run in, could be something like "A15", or "C23"). These are about 10-12" high, in various flourescent colors. You might be able to see them on my car in my little picture ID.

Since you are in Yorba Linda, you are very close to Hergesheimer Motorsports in Lake Forest, the are right off the Toll Road, the Lake Forest exit. Call for direstions...talk to Laura 949 458 7223, she does graphics and numberas for lots of folks, me included. Her work is great and her prices are fair. She will know the size of numberas you will need.

Chris,
At PeachState DE's the rules state the numbers have to be no less than 8" high with no less than a 1" stroke width. Alabama PCA ditto. FWIW I've seen smaller numbers and nobody ever gets called on the rule.
The main thing is to make it legible so that the corner workers can easily identify your car from a distance, the numbers are there for their convenience.
