Post OT: I AM GOING TO TRY AND KEEP HER.

I can't do it I talked it over with my wife and swung a deal with work. So I am keeping the P-car!! They will provide me with a vehicle and I am going to sell my SUV.

I have spent way to much time and money on getting this car exactly the way I wanted it. It sounds funny buy when I graduated from college I went up to a place here in St.Louis and picked up a brochure for a 1995 Porsche 993 Polar Silver w/ Black interior. I kept that brochure in my desk at my new job for 6 years, Now I finally own the car I have always wanted. It would be really tough to let it go this fast. I will make it work. Thanks for all the help and support and the great ideas on selling my wife off!!

There you go!

And now, instead of maybe being bitter to your wife, you'll love her more!

Been there... on a regular basis! Her: "Honey, I've been going over our budget and there's NO WAY we can afford to keep that car"!

I will ALWAYS find a way, even if I have to eat macaroni and cheese or peanut butter and jelly every day. I LOVE my car!!!

I am sooooo glad for you. I felt your pain, and am feeling it today, as my wife and I had another one of our on going fights about money and "that" car. I won, "just for today".

Steve it sounds like we live in the same world. My wife is the only person I know that can spend $260.00 at Target and then $140.00 at Walgreens in one week. BUT I have to sell my car to buy a new house? Cmon....Thankfully my employer offered to buy me a vehicle it is pretty nice of them considering I made the deal after negotiating my original contract.

Very salty, though. Go PB&J, with real PB.

GT, I am glad it will work out. Good for your wife for understanding, and good for your boss for doing the right thing. After all, they'll write it off, etc, so no big deal.

I am happy for you.

That has more to do with Kirin Ichiban than ramen noodles.

You'd better be going to Mid Ohio, young man. I'll be looking to caravan at 4 pm Thursday. You don't want to know the consequences of not showing up.

BTW, just got a new "safety tool" today - a LongAcre tire pyrometer. And, I hooked up last week's safety tool - a Intercomp Lap Timer (thanks for the rec, Eric!). That car's just oozing safety.

Anir,
Afraid you might not like my answer then. I am just not very excited about going to just watch. No replacement trailer in time and I can earn some major points on the home front.
I will be around this evening, give me a ring.

Greg,

I know it's a step backwards for a PCA Club Racer dude such as yourself, but take the street 993. That way, I'll have a chance in hell of passing you!

I've got the drop links waiting for you, so there's no excuse. BTW, I can't get through on your home or cell #, so give me a call.
