Need some help...where did this come from?
Okay Folks,
Here's the challenge. I am in the middle of my 30k service. Mufflers are off, Cat is off, Lower Valve covers are off. So I'm poking around removing the plugs and this thing fall out from somewhere on the drivers side. Very poor picture but it looks like a bullet casing. There is also a thick slide washer. Overall about 1 1/2" long and .3" in diameter....any ideas on where it goes?
It looks like it would slide into some hose or opening for oil flow and the slide washer prevents crushing or is a spacer.
I know Eric, some people shouldn't own tools.....I thought this would be a fun little project.
Any ideas?

It kind of looks like one of the pins that holds the deck lid shocks in place... except that there is no groove for circlip or a holding nut. It really looks like a pivot of some kind.

Tom. That may be it! My rear deck lid wouldn't stay up for the first time ever!!!!! I'll check it tonight.
