Thanks fellas..........I am leaning against 993 (Strosek modified, Germany summer 95)...........all are driven all seasons (993 was 'retired' from that 3.5 yrs ago after 6 winters). The key is having alot of wheels/tires ......Turbo has 3 sets (track/winter/show).
Side bar......on driving all seasons.....we have plenty of nice winter days in Wisconsin & I just enjoy driving too much.......life's short......besides, driving in the ice/snow is great practice for summer autocross

Greg, tell us more about that Strosek 993. NA, supercharged, turbocharged? Any more pics? It looks real serious.

Nice stable, BTW.

Thanks John, but the Turbo996 is the "serious" car there (~560bhp).....the 993 is 95 so it's been chipped, rechipped, exhaust, a few other things under the hood, signif suspension work, and most of the Strosek work (Utting Ammersee at Vitorio's shop after Euro deliv) was body work + Strosek fitments........the doors, the roof, and front hood are original
Basically......Strosek took original beauty of the 993 lines and tweeked them here & there...........I have to say, what he offers is actually a shopping list of possibilities, you ultimately put it together.......so there's some anxiety waiting for return of the car.

Gregt:
My eyes ain't what they used to be. I thought it was an early 930! Had to look really close again to realize it was a 993. Time to go see the optometrist again. So... what can I say? Maybe time to add a GT3?

No problem.
GT3?...that would be a hoot, but I'm having alot a fun with the speed (and pretty good lap times) with the Turbo.
GT3 would set me back a few notches, with lots to learn (and maybe I just don't want to have to admit,
this car is way better than me)
One more 993 pic.
She now does have a silver badge. Those are the 'show' OZ/Strosek alloys....no, they are not chromed .....polished &cleared.
