New Porsche Owner, 1995 993 Cab, How did I do?
Hello,
I just bought a 1995 Black 993 Cabrio with 47,000 miles on it. I paid $36,800. Was this a good deal? The car has a performance chip, fabspeed exhaust, K&N Air Filter, with turbo twist wheels. I just put new rubber on it, bridgestone potenza 265/85. Does anyonw foresee near future problems or performance issues. It drives like a dream...my dream. The top has a busted cable so it has to be put up manually. Other than that, it seems to be perfect. Any 993 owners out there have any advice. Thanks!

top repair can get exspensive, the 95 has two motors and they updated it in 96 to one motor. However some have already been converted with previous problems.
95's are a good year and seem to run better than the vario ram cars too me, especially with a chip and dont seem to be plagued by the valve guide secondary-air gremlin, the 993 is an excellent car and very trouble free. Some say its the pinicle of 911 development.
As far as price, it sounds like you did very well by several thousand dollars.
Congrats!

Congratulations on your 993 purchase. If you have not done so already, feel free to post on the 993 board. They'll be best able to answer the questions you have (we'll be glad to help, but they are the 993 experts!).

I know that I and others posted on this thread and now those posts are gone. How is that possible? And the post from Jay H appears as if it is from a different board altogether.
What gives? John/Viken?

It's because he posted the same thread twice.

Or, someone moved it over here. The other one's further down.
