Greg

Thanks for the very complete response ! At $45k (yikes !) it's comparable to swapping my 1996 993 for say a 1997 993TT - care to comment on where you think you gain or lose compared to a 993TT (I'm assuming of course that you have the Ruf Carrera > 2WD Turbo conversion). Obviously, the car you have ended up with is considerably more exclusive that a TT ...... but what about driving ?

Chris, a forgot a few items in the conversion.

RUF gauges, speedo tops at 220mph,tach
redline is at 12:00 (like this feature)

Two sets of wheels and tires(so2), one set
Fikse and one set Factory Hollow Spoke(for sale btw)

RUF steering wheel, which is smaller and thicker

Rear spoiler(must due to needed clearance for the intercooler), front spoiler

RUF floor mats (kinda silly but I figured why not?)

Litronic Headlights

I have a C2 Cab, and really like open air
motoring so a TT was not an option. I prefer
the peformance of the RUF over the TT, but this is only my impression. Driving the RUF is great, handling, and acceleration are beyond anything I've had the pleasure to drive.

One advantage of the conversion is that you can do it in pieces according to your budget.
Some people do the suspension/brakes first,
then take a breather, do the engine, and so on. If you're starting from a C2S or C4S,
then it is less expensive beacause you've already got the TT brakes and TT wheels.

Hope that helps,
Gregg

Thanks again Greg - obviously, appreciate that your car with all the extra bits and bobs is specc'ed higher than a "base" TT, so not a strictly fair comparison.

Enjoy !
