Post 993 vs. Golf Cart

There have been a few times out on the links where I've really been blown away by these things. If I installed some sway bars and a cage what do you think one of these could do on the track??? Much cheaper than a Viper or 993 I'm sure!

Well, I would say the Porsche is much faster from 0-60 mph. But, let's remember golf carts aren't built for drag-racing. If you want to drag-race, buy a Mustang or Camaro.

Christian, You want a Spec Racer. Take a golf cart, remove the battery bank and install a rear engine 4 cyl Toyota or Ford and you have a car that will scream around the track. A few minor additional tweeks but you get the idea.

I agree a good gas golf cart with a few mods just might beat some of the porsches I have seen on the streets. Remember with a roll cage you must have a momo driving suit with the matching shoes and approved helmet. Remember those who live in glass houses should not throw rocks. Racing big question is? Do you have the ***** to press the petal all the way?

Most important of all: referrence some of the old posts about how to properly sneer with disdain at drivers of other cars. I'm sure this procedure could be adapted and used effectively to let the drivers of golf carts know their place.

Aren't most golf carts electric? There might be a little performance issue with electrical engines here in CA...

Well, if you compare the vehicles on the greens - you are probably much better off with the golf cart .....
And you might even be allowed to come back.
If you take your p-car on the greens ......

But I like that point about 'p-car against xx' issue.
Funny that so many people jump on that.

Have fun
