Question C4S on Ebay

I thought that MY '98 993's were all 2S versions? Just wondering if this is correct. Also, this '98 4S has the older style front clip, was this available on later model cars?

That picture shows the narrow body front bumper which, obviously was installed by a previous owner.

Sam,
WS320122
The VIN number they provided is a valid VIN number for a 1998 Carrera 4S 993 coupe

911 CARRERA 4 COUPE 98 W 99WS3 10061>19000 M64.21 210KW

The front bumper cover is a narrow body style bumper cover it was not just used in 1995 model year. It is the same bumper cover used for Cabrio, and Targa 993s even in 1998.

Looks like either the previous owner replaced the wide body bumper cover with the narrow body bumper or that the car was involved in an accident and the repair shop ordered the wrong bumper cover and didn't know the difference. But who knows.

The exhaust tips do not look like factory style. The edges are not rolled, maybe Fabspeed? Check under the seats for remains of tech/run group stickers.

Bill,

Those looks like the expensive stainless large oval Porsche exhaust tips that sells for about $400 a pair.
