Litronic/Xenon kits

Update on OEM 993 Litronic Kit!
I've recieved several PM's but will be OOT on a business trip until next Wed. evening.
I need to look in my garage in order to tell you everything that came with this kit. I got it on eBay from a guy in CA. I had it tested on my 993 at my local dealer and it worked fine. It is actually a 1995 kit (Ithought it was a 1997 kit).
Sorry for not getting back to you guys/gals. I'll return your messages in the order I recieved them and the earliest PM wins.
Thanks again!

I thought Porsche had stopped selling the Litronic kit? Take it ones being discussed are whats left in the sytem. Are they high and low beam? The only kits I've seen have been one or the other - in other words have to fit two kits to get H & L. 964 kit is different and you get both H & L in one kit but need to cut a LARGE hole in the back of the bowl.

993 OEM Litronic Kit.
You are right sir! Bosch stopped manufacturing these for Porsche almost a couple of years ago (reason why prices shot up).
The low beam is Xenon and the high beam is Halogen.

so for someone that may ultimately want Litronics, fair to say probably need to act now (?) since these will not be produced in OEM form anymore...
the 1700 to spend on these could be spent in better ways initially in my opinion -- i need to do the suspension, exhaust, etc.... however, those are all things that arent "going away"....whereas the Litronics could perceivably cease to be available....
anyone else in this boat?

mrsullivan. bow-wow. You mention suspension. I thought yours is a low mileage car, I this not correct? If it is, why do you need suspension. I know the stock system sucks but they do last, what 20-25k? Exhaust note well we all need that. I would like the lutronics on my 98 also even though I will very seldom drive the car at night. I did not know they were going away.
I would do a set today for $200 bucks. According to William Green anyway.

I am just about to go out, but here are some photos of the installation and will provide more info how to do it and the suppliers name. I purchased a 6000k set just for info.
First pop the headlamp pod out.
Picture of the H1 bulb in place and the wiring
Picture of the pod with the rear hatch closed
It is then a case of fitting the litronics box somewhere behind the pod and securing. The job in total took no more than 45minutes and is real plug and play.
As it is dark now will take a photo of the lights on. Too get an impression of the difference lokk at the sidelights below the headlights and see how yellow they look.
