Default Advice for double duty at track events?

My g/f and I are probably going to consolidate our track cars and just drive one. It's most likely to be a 993 C2, and it will be seeing back-to-back sessions at about 10 track days each summer. Any advice?

- Bigger oil cooler (cargraphics?)??
- Maybe bigger brakes?
- A different choice of car, like a 996? Seems like 993 is a great choice, tho.
- Other thoughts?

I recently met one couple and their son who share a 993 for DE's... All three run (green, blue, yellow).. They have done nothing to it, although they do chew up brakes ...

Cargraphic cooler, definitely, Eric. The stock calipers should be fine if you run Castrol SRF and manage your brake actuation. 964's are good track cars, too, but, if I were you, Im not sure I'd want to regularly track a 996, based on what I've heard some top mechanics say.

You are making the right move. Although the S4 is very fast, I doubt it could hang in there like the 993 for multiple sessions. Other options would be a 944, or an '87-89 911. They are both very strong. But you know my bias

most of mine track buddies, like pin and kim run 993's while i run 996c2 water pumper A LOT (about 40 DE's this year so far). never had prob. ALL stock other than saftey items and suspension set up. i run back to back session 50% of the time and i am very very hard on brakes. motul 600 and stock brakes with somesort of pagid is most definitely more than enough, unless you strat racing. 993 NEED additional oil cooler. put one in or you will regret later when things blow up! dont forget roll bar.

I think in general, just add thermal capacity to cooling the engine and brakes. I will say with my fan running 'high speed', about half way through my cool down lap, my oil temp. drops like a rock back down in the area of where the thermostat opens (first line about 8 o'clock). Then again, these were on higher speed tracks where there is greater airflow into the cooler.

I would think the 993 would make a great continuous use car for multiple drivers.. I dont have any experience with the 996, but as Mooty says, this may be an option as well.
