Post side stepping the clutch

Anyone have thoughts on side stepping the clutch? Can our cars take it?
No, I'm not drag racing my car but, it would be fun to have some quick launches now and then.

Brad, I previously had a 400+ RWHP Vette and that is not something I would even do to launch that car quickly, let alone a P-car. I used to launch at about 1700-1800 RPM, let the clutch out fairly quickly (however, not even close to a side step) and then nailed it after it hooked up.

Perhaps George can comment on launch technique for the P-car, but from my perpsective, I would avoid side stepping your clutch.

Doug
