P-car Season up here is coming to an end and I am starting to plan this winter activities... new discs all around are high up on the list!

I have read on Rennlist that some brands were to avoid, like Vertex. Is OEM the only way to go? My local part supplier has Brembo discs which seems reasonnably priced. Brand is famous but are those any good? Any other I should consider?
I will continue to use OEM pads I think.
