Post oil filter tool needed, where to get?

I am in need of the oil filter tool P9204. Can (should) these be ordered from the dealer? I will call when they open. Any other sources for Porsche tools?

Thanks again!

Chris,

I bought the strap-type w/o the handle from Pep
Boys. Instead of a handle it has an opening for a 3/8" ratchet wrench entension. Works great especially for the filter in between the tranny and engine. Sorry I forgot the brand name, but it cost about $6.

I got mine from suncoast porsche. I'm pretty sure that you can get it from the dealer as well.

I took a filter in to Advanced Auto Parts and found a socket type that fits perfect. The great part....it only cost $1.99.

I tried several cap wrenches on that danged central oil filter, but all slipped and would not grab. <img src="graemlins/cussing.gif" border="0" alt="[grrrrrrr]" /> They had worked OK on the big filter below the oil tank.

I finally bought what I believe is called a lockdown filter wrench at the local auto parts store. It has 2 opposing plates, that adjust to size and tighten when you apply pressure from a 3/8" ratchet. The more pressure, the tighter it gets. This finally got the filter off. You can be sure that I was careful not to overtighten the replacement filter.

I'll go along with Pete on this; works great!
