The "never driven in the rain" line probably came from the pre-zinc days when, in a quiet garage, you could actually hear a Porsche rusting. Early Porsches that had never seen rain and lived in dry Cali had the least chance for iron rot.

 

People like to enjoy their Porsches in a variety of ways...some like track, some like concours. It's great that the PCA accommodates both as well as several other ways to enjoy our great cars.

 

Laurier's car is obviously from a bizarro universe where cars become cleaner the more they are driven.
