The phrase is "cocked and locked" not "locked and cocked", which refers to model 1911s (et seq) wherein the user can both "****" the pistol, and "lock" the safety in place, without de-cocking. This condition is not possible on any gun of any other design. The pistol in the photo is Glock, not a 1911 design, and therefore cannot be in a "cocked and locked" condition.

Man, tension levels running a bit high round here lately. Rough winter and a bit of cabin fever, I suspect. JimBob, lots of folks in need of some track time, don't you think?

In the Anir household (all in a safe, BTW):

- Mossberg military model (8 in the tube, and 4 in the stock)
- Seecamp .32
- Glock 22 (15 rounds in the clip)
- Kahr micro-9 polymer model (forget what it's called)
- Kahr PM9

Blame it on the Texas upbringing.

Parts of this thread remind me of a Sigourney Weaver quote from Alien - "Did IQs drop sharply while I was away?" Got a big laugh out of it though -- Good to have Bubbba back too.

Anyway, my homeland defense consists of a Taurus 9mm and a Kimber custom .45 ... enough said.

Well, surely his voting rights in Florida will be governed by his ethnic background.

Oh, BTW, I'm not sure if politics & car forums mix - could be a lot of 'virtual' friendships in jeopardy here!

Hey, now that we have Radical Racer and JimBob back lets try to keep this funny and friendly. Don't want to lose any of our valued (for both technical knowhow and comical relief) Rennlisters again.

Can't we just keep this thread going with testosterone laden topics such a guns and cars

Mark, hostile here...nah Don't let a few folks that have no humor get to ya'.

Howdy Everybody. I've been lurking here for a long time and finally I found a thread to my liking. Whats not to like, Guns, Fun, and a Monkey named JimBob. So I decided to register and post to say hi. I race dirt late model stock cars and have a 95 Carrera 2 for fun when I'm not racin.

Anyway, have fun. Great thread.

"Whats not to like, Guns, Fun, and a Monkey named JimBob."

Will the monkey get pissed if we start calling him Jim Bob?

Cocked and lock or locked and cocked, same thing I would say. My 945's are 1911 style and can be carried the same identical way.

The tupperware is loaded and pointed straight at us, I dont like it one bit.

Joke or no joke, it is in bad taste. Handguns are made for killing, the aint no go for nothing else.

So to suggest a loaded gun pointed at me or anyone else means one thing.

Although their is nothing more useless than an unloaded gun.

Ease up, man. Switch to Sanka.
