Default Drive For Breast Cancer

Well I would like to get a drive/event together to raise money for Breast Cancer. It would kind of be like a poker run, but with Porsche’s. See my Grandma was just diagnosed with it and her sister, mother, and multiple aunts have passed away from it, so it hits hard here. I was just wondering if anyone would like to do something like this? We could all pay a few bucks, take a nice drive and then have some food afterwards. I would like to start planning this soon, but don’t know how many people we could get. Please let me know if anyone would be interested. If anyone has any other ideas please share them. This is also posted in the 944 section. Thanks!!

I'd be interested, but not much Porsche action in the way of drives goes on most of the straight GA roads. I wouldn't be able to make it to PA.

Right now I'm planning one in Ohio. But I had a lot of people on the west coast take interest so now I am planning on there also. Maybe if we can get enough people I can do one in the east coast. I would need a bit of help with the route and a few other things. Thanks!

If anyone can make it here are the detalis: I would like everyone to meet me on Oct 23rd at 10-10:30am at 4855 Portage Street Northwest, North Canton, OH 44720. It's a Taco bell, real easy to get to. If your taking 77 north you'll get off at the Portage exit and turn left and if you coming 77south take the portage exit and turn right. From there I will let everyone know whats going on...from what myself and Fred have talked about it should be a bit different and hopefully a lot of fun. Again please tell everyone you know about this so we can have a great turn out. Thanks!!

Count me in (from Cleveland)

What is the procedure for raising money? Entry fees, sponsorships, etc? Also, (Autobahn Extremist - www.autobahnextremist.com) will sponsor as well with service prizes.

There will be a $10 a head or $15 a car full fee for everyone. Plus I will have t-shirts and anyone can donate more if they like. After the drive I have some places who donated some food so everyone will get some grub. How can I contact Autobahn Extremist so I can talk to them? Thanks and can't wait to see you there!

Call Deb at Autobahn (440-333-3245) and she'll set you up. They will donate a couple of oil changes and other goodies for you.

Let me know what I can do to help.

If you are planning anything on the west coast, I will be happy to be a major sponsor. I lost my first wife after being married 14 years to Breast Cancer. This is a terrible thing and I always sponsor anyone in Breast Cancer fund raisers...

Bob,
I am sorry to hear about your wife, I have lost many family members also and know how you feel. If this year goes well I am going to start planning one for next year on the west coast. I got a large response from people out there. Plus I have always wanted to go to Cali I will keep you informed! Thanks!
