Post mobil 1 oil

I have tried everywhere to find Mobil 1 10-50 for my oil change but have yet to locate this weight, however 15-50 seems to be readily available. Is there any reason that I can't use 15-50. I live just north of San Francisco so I don't encounter severe extremes in temperature one way or another. Thanks for your help.

T_Arcuri,

I think 15w50 is what you need.

T_Arcuri,

To the best of my knowledge, Mobil1 doesn't make a 10W-50. I believe they do make a 10W-40, but I've never seen this. Get the 15W-50 version with the red-cap and you'll be all set for your 993.

Best price I've seen is at Wal-Mart in their 5-quart jugs (which don't come along so often since it's apparently a promotional item - when you see it, buy a few years worth of oil, that's what I do - about $17-$18 per 5-quart jug).
