Post Engine Hood Resprayed by The Dent Guys. Looks great!

***I do not work or have any affiliation with The Dent Guys and just giving a feedback on their work.***

Just got my engine hood resprayed today (big scratch on the hood) by John from The Dent Guys here in the East Bay (San Francisco area). They're a mobile dent repair/minor paint repair outfit here in the East Bay of the SF Bay Area. I plan on keeping the car for awhile so I don't mind respraying it. I would rather have a good looking resprayed car than a car with messed up ugly original paint anyways, as long as the job was done right.

He did one heck of a kick butt job, and to top it all off only costs $300 and he did it at my home. He came highly recommended as he does the minor paint work of all the Porsche cars at the local Porsche dealership here (Stead Porsche in Walnut Creek), so he knew how to paint the car really well. Color was matched fabulous, no orange peeling, and just a great looking job from all the angles I looked at it. He also put on 4 coats of clear coats as well and that made the car look really good. I would highly recommend him.

Next time I am going to get my front luggage hood and front bumper resprayed so I don't have to keep looking at those annoying rock chips anymore. To respray the bumpers costs $199 and the hood for $299 so that's a pretty good deal.

No each one. I have a price list which I got in the mail on them and it says:

Bumper, Door, Fender $199.95
Hood $299

The prices are for Each Bumper, or Fender or Door or Hood.

A spray is pretty much using the existing paint and blending it in I believe. A new paint job is sanding it all the way down to bear metal, then priming and spraying.

Are The Dent Guys a franchise, chain, etc? Do they have a location in SoCal? I would definitely be interested. Thanks.

I am going out to the garage right away to look for that "bear" metal. I am talking my Glock along just in case the car has not been fed and is feeling mean!!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Based on the "identity theft" post, I'm not sure this is a Glock-friendly board.

I called thema and it's $350 for a hood - something about wet sanding and such. Not $299. Even at $350 still sounds like a deal for those rock chips. Will probably do it next month and will try to post some before and after pics.
