993 Adoption Complete
Oh my God! I finally found a great car; from a great original owner. Finalized the adoption last Friday. These are pics I got from the PO. I don’t have the car yet. It’s being shipped by Intercity.
1998 C2S. Guards Red/Cashmere. Motor Sound. HiFi/CD Changer. 18” Wheels. I forgot the rest. The PO sent the car today for a full detail because he wanted it to be spotless when I get it. It was already a 9.7. Right On!
PPI done at Carl’s Place in Las Vegas. Great folks, very happy with their service. They gave the car a 9.7. Needs hood and deck shocks, seems they de-gas in the desert and has two, count them two, rock chips on the hood. Thanks for the referral ca993Twin and Laura from Hergesheimer.
Now what pedals should I get? Rennline’s like the 911 or? Got to fix the ride height. How? What other must dos should I know about? Do I dare say the word….MODS.

ParadiseNB,
Nice purchase! The car looks fabulous. Glad you liked Carl's place... we go back about a thousand years or so.
For lowering the car, you're in a bit of a pickle. The pickle being that with ~16k miles, the original crappy shocks may still be good, which is too bad, because it makes tossing them away just that much harder. If you're going to go to the trouble of replacing the springs to lower the ride height, you might as well bite the bullet and get better shocks at the same time. Else you have to do the labor (install + align + corner balance) twice.
Best bang for the buck: ROW MO30 springs and Bilsetin HD shocks.
More adjustable setup: Bilstein Pss-9
More track oriented setup: JICS
Utimate track setup: Motons
Congratulations on a wonderful car. You done good.

Thanks you guys. I'm so excited I can hardy sleep. I won't get the car for about two weeks. How am I going to make it? I keep looking at the few pics I have trying to image myself inside, driving. I got to blow out the carbor, right? Here's an interior pic.

Nice purchase, she looks great! 16K is really hard to find these days. You can drive it to death for years and not catch up. I'd say drive those shocks long enough to feel the difference of the HD's when you get them, you've still got miles left. And take a picture of you and the car together right away, wear your favorite shirt and try to get your "can you believe it's finally mine" look on film, tough to do. Welcome to the 993 club!

She's a beauty! You'll be looking at those pictures everyday for the next two weeks. And dreaming about it night.
I'd suggest looking at the pedals from A.J. USA in addition to the ones from Rennline.

Congrats, gorgeous car. 16k miles- unbelieveable! If you're worried about the OE shocks going to waste, I'll take them
they gotta be better than mine.
The next two weeks will be the longest of your life. Too bad you can't take a magic pill and wake up when the transporter arrives. Best of luck

Congrats on the purchase! Very nice car, definately an icon of the 993 series.
Word of caution: Each time you open a .jpg image, the image quality is deteriorated ever so slightly. So, two weeks from now, I'll be your .jpg's will be a snowy, white screen
Funny how most of us knuckleheads start collecting upgrade goodies before we even get the car in our garages...myself included
