Post Brake pad dust

Has anyone found a performance brake pad that does not throw off so much dust? What is the brand name? Thanks.

Skytop,

For street or track? For the track, I use Performance Friction pads (PFC) and am Very pleased with the performance! Though I'm not terribly concerned with cleanliness on the track, I have noticed very little brakedust with these pads (compound 97).

For the street, I use OEM Textars. IMO, these offer great feel, stopping power, low noise, and low dust. I personally don't see how one exceeds what the OEM pads offer...on the street, anyway. BTW, DON'T use Jurids!

Wink

Tend to go along totally w/ Edward; PFC 90 on track, Textar on street. Textar excellent (in my opinion) on street re dust. On track, I place stopping on a much higher priority that a pretty car. Cleaning the car after a track event, when I hit the rotors with a solid spray from the garden hose, I get a heavy flush of black water coming out of the wheel wells. That's the price of having good track braking. Sorry, but I feel if you're worried about a concours car, don't hit the track.

Skytop:

IMHO, you cannot go wrong with either Ferodo 3410's (street) or DS 2000's (street/track).

Excellent cold-to-hot grip, easy on rotors, and low dust that will not hurt your wheels.

Jurid is too soft, creates too much brake dust.
