this is from what i've read all around the internet but for a really good, "original" sound, the RSR's are probably a better choice but if you're looking for something that will slightly(and from some tests i've seen i mean barely noticable results) improve your car's punch, then the fabspeed is something you should look into.

i think all of us who have benefitted from RSR mufflers should pool a trivial amount of money, like $5-10 and get robin something kickass to thank him as this is done more as a hobby and surely not as a moneymaking entreprise.

just my opinion.

Spinning Disc,

As it is I am already super appreciative of everyone's constant support (even without me asking).

There is no way in the world I can accept a gift you've suggested.

On top of that I still don't know what to do with the $100 Amazon gift certificate you so generously gave me.

I was just talking to my co-workers yesterday that it bring tears to my eyes how amazing appreciative the people in the Porsche community is when all you have to do is to provide a honest product and do what you tell people you are going to do. Whereas in my "real" job our industry (Computer hardware) we bend over backwards all day long for our customers and no one ever appreciate what we do for them.

Robin, that's pretty much the same reason I quit being a full time, in-house network administrator & starting working as one of those blood-sucking consultants instead!

How about managing $57 mil in work +- 7% profit and getting a paper weight for Christmas. That's appreciation. oh! and a small bonus.

I have the RSR's on my 993 (obtained through Gert here in Europe) and i love them more everytime i drive my car.

The do indeed improve with age.

I was at the TIPEC meet last night and some of the guys wanted to hear my car, so i fired her up and blipped the throttle. The pops and crackles on the overrun are to die for. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Sorry to repeat what everyone else has said, but THANK YOU ROBIN!

Is the install as straightforward as the FAQ's suggest or is it best to bring in the high priced help early on? It just seems to easy.

Installing the muffler is incredibly easy. The only obstacle you might encounter is frozen hardware bolts. Take a look at the bolts before you start; if they're rusted, get replacement pieces from the dealer. If you don't have Dremel tool buy one. You'll need it to cut off the bolts.

Check the archives for other pointers, too.

Maybe the $5 donation would be great, so that Robin can get the RSR's dyno'd and see if they increase hp and torque. Although I know he doesn't do the work for hp/torque gains, I bet people would still be curious to know if they really give any performance gains. That would be a great gift for him so he doesn't pay for it out of pocket
