Post Passenger Seat Travel.

Is it just my car or does your drivers seat go back further than the passenger seat? Both seats are factory power.

JPhillips-

It depends on which anchors your driver's seat is using. For the 993, Porsche added some additional anchor holes in the seat rails so the driver's seat could be pushed back another 1"-2" giving tall drivers more leg room.

If the driver's seat is using the front holes then it will be even with the passenger seat when all the way back, but if using the back holes then it will be farther back.

Thanks to both of you. Kim is right, I just never noticed. The seat travel is the same so the firewall must be offset.

Are there different anchors for the passenger seat if I wanted to get more room up front?

Hmm. Never really thought about it for my car. I guess I just prefer spending my time in the driver's seat.

This is great news! I'm 6'6" and can use every inch I can get. If I get a tiptronic I may be spending more time in the passenger seat as this opens the door to my wife driving the car and I know that once she gets behind the wheel for the first time...we may need to become a two 993 family. <img src="graemlins/jumper.gif" border="0" alt="[jumper]" />

Where did you get the brackets, were they pre-fab or custom? Do you have the manufacturer or part #?
