Post Horn Problem

I have a problem with the activation of my horn. Having purchased a replacement steering-wheel, when I came to fit the airbag back on I noticed that the backing plates for the two wheels are very different. My original was deep, the new one is shallow. To get the airbag to fit I swapped over the backing plates. On activation of the ignition, however, the horn immediately sounds.

What have I done wrong ? How should the horn mechanism activate ? Is the only cure to switch back the mounting plates ? Aaaggghhh

So much for my quick and cheap upgrade !!

Do you have that Momo Porsche wheel?

Do a search using words "momo" or 'non airbag", there was just topic about this. And a solution.

No it is a standard wheel and airbag. have I just crossed the wires ? The horn even sounds if the airbag is held clear of the wheel.

What is the correct wiring sequence ? I can see 4 wires. One is a mutliplug that can only fit one way. The other 3 are straight blade-type connectors. Have I got them mixed-up somehow ?
