Post pirelli pzero c dry

does anyone know where i can get a set of pirelli pzero c dry (in 18"). they are in the process of being faded out to be replaced with the new corsa line. i'm thinking that someone should still have some stock of these around. any pointers would be greatly appreciated...

cheers,
boris

According to the website, Bob Woodman Tires still has some 18" choices available. Good luck.

I just ordered a set of P-Zero C's from Bob Woodman today in 245/35-18 front and 285/30-18 rear. According to Woodman, the U.S. Pirelli warehouse currently has approximately 60 remaining sets of the front size and 25 of the rear size.

I really like my car's neutral handling since upgrading to a wider footprint up front. I considered switching to the Michelin Cup Sports, but they do not offer the 245/35-18 size, so I'd be using the stock front 225/40-18.

If you look at the published widths, this might lead to more understeer again, since the Michelins are slightly wider in the back than the P-Zero C's, while I'd be losing almost 1/2" of width up front.

A set of the Michelins would run about $60 cheaper (at Tire Rack) than the price I paid for the P-Zero C's.

Section Widths

FRONT
P-Zero C: 245/35-18 (9.65")
P-Zero Corsa: 225/40-18 (9.25")
Michelin Cup Sport: 225/40-18 (9.2")

REAR (285/30-18)
P-Zero C: 11.22"
P-Zero Corsa: 11.34"
Michelin Cup Sport: 11.4"

Many 993 narrow body owners are running 265 & 295 Michelin Cups. The front will rub on full lock to lock input but for th track they are fine.

Anir,

I agree - I have the 245's up front and the 285's in the rear. i'd be happy to upgrade to a MSPC or go cheap with the kumho's but I can't get the neutral handling with them.... so i'm with you on this one.

cheers,
boris
