How about the road from Nice to Monte Carlo? I may have a chance to go to the Monaco F1 race, but will probably be on this road in a bus, but thats OK!!!! Anyone been there, done that? Any advice would be welcomed.

One more from Europe, Scandinavia.
Scenic Telemark road in Norway.
It's really twisting and has one Alpine-pass kind a serpentine. Otherwise narrow historic road across stunningly beautiful Norway. As speed limits are extremely low on Norway, 80 km/h even on highways, every spirited driver should drive b-roads.

Should be obvious - Route 993 from Trafford to Irwin, PA!!!
Where else is a road named in honor of your very car????
Besides that, no particular favorite; just jump in the car and drive south into the Allegheny Mtns. down thru western West Virginia. Less traffic and better condition roads than in W. PA.

Well, my first real drive since buying my new toy was early this evening.
Giddee Up...I had a blast on River Road - west of Nashville in Cheatham county. Rolling green hills and the sun setting.
I had run this route in my E46 M3 that I just sold and I must say it was much more fun in my "new to me" Carrera S. Faster is not always better....the M3 is quicker but the 911 is just more fun. I must say not as forgiving, but should make me a better driver in the long run.
Glad to be back in a 911

Let's see, PCH south from Carmel, The high road from Santa Fe to Taos, Warland to Buffalo WY through Ten Sleep Canyon, Cimarron to Taos NM. Especially early in the AM when there's no traffic.
Road America and Mid-Ohio are ok too!

Deutsche Alpine Strasse, hands down! This two lane runs along the border between Germany and Austria. Great uphill, downhill, switchbacks. Every curve is a picture postcard vista. I once was stopped along the road while one of the Japanese motorcycle companies filmed a group of riders negotiating a praticularly curvy section. Absolutely breath taking. Too bad I never had the chance to run it in my 911.
Another "must drive" is the Nordschleife of the Nurburgring. I once did a driver's school there 500 miles after taking delivery of a new 964 C2. Not the place for the weak of heart. I'd repeat the school in a heartbeat if given a chance.

Try the seasonally opened road between Vail, Colorado and Aspen through Independence Pass. Just don't go two wheels off! Talk about elevation changes!!!

Route 100 in Vermont going from Stratton Mountain toward Killington. Awesome tight corners and fabulous scenery in the fall - just don't get caught behind one of those vermont locals in their old pickups or you'll want to slit your own throat... I miss my snowboard already and it's only June.

The road going up Grandfather Mountain which is off of the Blue Ridge Parkway near Blowing Rock, NC. It's especially nice when the road is closed to only Porsches about 15 of them. Here's a photo of my car near the top.
