Default What do you think of these wheels?

Need some opinions here. What do you think of these I-Forged wheels? Has anyone had any experience with them? They dont seem that popular amongst the Porshce crowd.. They do appear to be lightweight.. HMMM

I am now in the market for a set of 18" wheels, for the street as my 17" cups have been relegated to track duty.

My first love is the Carrera MY02 5 spokers, but the times I am looking for them, they seem to disappear

Anyhow, here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

Chris, I know there were some early delivery issues with iForged but from what has been said, the wheel is a quality product. You can probably get a good answer on 6speedonline as it seems to be more popular with the 996 crowd.

Chris,

The wheels look cool and smiliar to the offerings by Kinesis and Fikse.

Chris,

Are you thinking of specifically those wheels for sale? If so, aren't the offsets wrong for a NB?

I know how you feel about the 5 spokes... I couldn't stand it any longer and ordered a set.

Kelly, the 5 spokes are my favorite, by far. I am getting to the point of not being able to stand not having a set as well. Hopefully soon!

Not necessarily those wheels, as I have not looked at the offsets closely. They look like nicely made wheels..

They look surprisingly "similar" to HRE wheels. So much so, that if I was in HRE' shoes I would sue.

Chris,
I replied to a thread discussing Iforged wheels a while back. When I was shopping for wheels, my impression of them were that they had poor customer service but really aggressive sales tactics. I went with HRE.

I have no Financial interest in Iforged wheels. I don't need to defend my purchase of them. Yes their customer service needs work and they do not have the "status" of HRE's, But for a price that is 40% below HRE's I think they are a great option.

Mike,
When I was pricing them with HRE distributors, they were only about 18% cheaper than HRE's... don't always believe the pricing on their website.

This is like the thread that I posted about I forged a few months ago. At least we know they are hubcebtric. Someone was saying they are not. Also, the seller on ebay is talking about isues with finish. I dont know if that is good or bad as well, but if they sell cheap, then they are worth it.

Hi John, When I priced HRE's ( I am very cheap and talked to numerous dealers) 18" 840's(?) clearcoated were $5000. I paid bearly over $3000 for the Iforged. Understand I am not putting down your purchase of HRE they are beautiful wheels, I just felt I could use the difference to buy some power mods. If $ were no object HRE's would have been my first choice.

Chris,
Ifored is a S.Cal company, I believe they are near you in Anaheim, go check them out and then decide. You can see the model on the ebay listing since they have a showroom there.

Mike,
I am not bashing Iforged... just sharing my experience with them. It took me over 6 months to finally decide on wheels. I consider myself very frugal when it comes to aesthetics but when it came down to spending thousands, I went with people that had better customer service.. that's all... just call me a wimp.
