I have been looking since February. I saw a Riviera Blue cab. Also saw a couple of Turquoise Blue C4S's. One has been sold, the other is still kicking around, I believe.

I am familiar with both cars and I have seen them in person. While I don't know about the first 911, which was fully restored at the factory, there were a few more 993's made after the Mexico blue car left the production line. Those were specially ordered 993 Turbo S cars delivered in Germany.

BTW, those are not real license plates.

Viken not absolutely postitive about the LAST or the plate but I can tell you for sure that the FIRST is real and the plate is real. Aurel & Don's, my sometime mechanics in Universal City, take care of all of Jerry's cars. I have been in that first car. Jerry sends all his car's for service and repair, by transport across the country, to them to work on then they ship them right on back to him. This is a very rich man.

Viken

I take it that Mexico Blue was a special order colour, was it?

Are there other non-metallic blues in and around Turquoise, Riviera and Mexico?

Never ceases to amaze me how many colours Porsches come in from the factory.

Not really. In the mid seventies Porsche had a color named Laguna Blue, very close.

Yes, Mexico blue would have been a color to sample option on the 993. However, it was a standard color on some older (early 70's) P-cars from a few decades ago. It is a bit lighter than Riviera, but very similar. Another non-metallic blue was Maritime blue available on 964's and early 1994-95 993's.

Here's Seinfeld's Carrera 4S:

That RS America is a really nice car. Violetta is another sweet color that is not really blue but kinda and it's stunning. If i can find it later I will post it.
