I am thinking about putting Gruppe M air filter in my '97 993 C2, but heard stories about engine check light showing after installation. The dealer said it would add about 5% more power, 14.5 hp gain, is that realistic. If there is anyone out there who knows any thing about it, your comments will be greatly appreciated.

i dyno tested one. i lost several hp from it. don't buy the hype!!! however i did sell my ram air intake for a cool 30 cents on the dollar on ebay.

I think on its own on a standard(ish) car it s a 'no'. If you are making or have made big mods and you have an intake problem then I would definitely consider testing it.

Those claims sound like bollocks to me. Get a sports airbox which won't add any power but it will sound bloody good. ;-)
