Anyone know the typical cost a shop would charge for mounting/balancing when using this new machine?

Jim - I am not sure if some places charge more for having this machine. I do not. I charge the same as some of the other local shops. My theory was that it will bring in some money and it save some. This is due to not having to buy new wheels for customers or have them refinished from a machine that just beats up wheels no matter what you do.. It is also just good business to not have equipment that can damage a customers wheels. I wish some of the other places around here thought that way when they damaged my wheels installing new tires.

Brian - You could contact the Corghi importer and see if they have one in the local Miami area. As I mentioned, most Ferrari dealers are supposed to have this machine. Corghi is based in Italy and has a close relationship with Ferrari. That is why the machines are allowed to be painted with Ferrari Red...

Bob,

What balancing machine are you using? The Hunter 9700? Or, a Corghi?

Richard
