Default Carbon Fiber Shift ****

I picked up a Momo Carbon fiber shift **** at the German Autofest. When I got home I took a look at the shifter I have and noticed that the leather boot is one piece with the shifter ****.

My question is do you have to cut the leather and than stuff it under the mounting ring of the new ****?

What have other people done?

Thanks

that's correct one piece. don't cut anything, just with firm pressure push against the bottom base with a sideway pressure. it takes a good deal of pressure but you will release the existing shift ****. then you will place the new one in and get it into the clips and pull up on the leather.

i think there is a DIY on pcar.com

hope that helps.

cheers,
boris
