OT: Mobil 1 Oil @ KMart
Hi Folks,
Mobil 1 oil is on sale for $4.00/qt at K Mart and if you want it 5% cheaper, go to Kragen auto parts, show the K Mart ad and they'll beat the price. Time to chance oil!!!
Enjoy,
Andrew

SInce you need 11 or so qts to cahnge the oil you can just go to Walmart and buy the Mobil one in the 5qt container for $19.99 and its $4 a qt. every day. I bought 3 containers for one oil change. thats the 15-50 stuff

Walmart here in Oceanside Ca has gone up in price, 5 qt. container now cost $22.00. I use 0-40 for my ML320 which is not availble in 5 qt container at Walmart. Individual qt cost $4.86.

You shouldnt need to use 0-40 in ocean side. 0-40 is a better oil in extremely cold climates Oceanside is fine for 15-50. Now if you lived in Cleveland.....

I've been buying mobil 1 at Target for $3.39 per quart. They don't have O-40 which is what MB recommends for the ML as avellina says. I've been using 15w 50 in my ML most of the time except for maybe December thru February when it can get colder.

Actually Ecob what it shows you is people who are smart enough to have these cars are also
smart enough not to overpay for stuff. If you throw money away then your rainy days suck!

Ecob: if you enjoy throwing money away. I'll be more than happy to accept it all. Having a $30, $40, $50+ car usually means that you know how to manage your money. (Unless you won the lotto, then that's another story!!)

Actually, OldGuy and 993Cabriolet, that's exactly the point Stanley made in his books! I sure couldn't afford my toys (and have anything left over for college educations and retirement) if I, too, didn't manage my economic life the same way.
