Post Battery Replacement

I know this has been the subject of many pprevious posts, but could you bear with me and offer some advice. I currently have an official Porsche battery that is showing signs that it needs replacement. I went to an autoshop the other day and they had a replacement, no maintenenace Bosch Silver. On close inspection, there was no vent hole. I spoke to the guy who said that that there was now no need for a vent as the whole unit was sealed and therefore no gases escaped

This sort of makes sense although I would rather get you guy's advice before taking the plunge. Any views out there????

Probably true; far as I know sealed batteries don't need them. Have used some sealed ones in previous 911s without a vent tube; never had a problem.
