Sirius Radio Antenna Placement
I'm thinking of placing the antenna for my Sirius radio on the rear shelf of my '97 Targa, hoping that it will see enough of the sky to get good reception.
Can anyone comment on this placement? I really can't find an outside location that won't look tacky.
Thanks!

I bought a new Alpine deck with XM built in (not sure how different the antenna is). My antenna is approx. 1.5" x 1.5" by .75" high. I mounted mine in the right corner of my front dash (Cab owners have no need for a rear deck ). It's really not even noticable.

I have Sirius.. and I put that newest smallest antenna in the right hand corner of my inside dash... (on my coupe).. I've been amazed at the fantastic reception (maybe because it is close to the A pillar?) ...but it is hardly noticable and works just fine for me there!!!
I have the Kenwood HU.. and Kenwood micro antenna...

I have Sirius and the antenna is mounted on the rear deck lid of my Targa, as you are planning to do. I do have times when it loses the signal for a few seconds, but I'm not sure if that is typical or not, as this is my only car with satellite radio. Also, if I have the targa top open and it's about 1 foot from completely open, it tends to interfere.
