G12 oil cooler switch question
#2
Yes, you do retain normal operation. After I installed my switch, I tested this out.
In the "normal" switch mode, I idled my car until my oil temp was at the 9 pm position and the "low" speed came on. Then I threw the switch to the "high" speed and the fan went to high speed. I turned off the switch and it went back to low speed.
Be advised that the "low" speed doesn't even come on until about the 9 pm position (230F as reported by randall, but mine came on a bit earlier. )
Check out Randall's page here for more info: <a href="http://p-car.com/diy/fan/" target="_blank">http://p-car.com/diy/fan/</a>
Hope this helps..
