Any recommendations of where to buy a new cab top? Is the OEM top the only way to go or aftermarket alternatives ok?

I have been researching for the same information with little results. I did buy a new boot from cabioworld with good results.

I have had different opinions from local porsche experts, some of which don't like the fit of aftermarket tops. I've seen aftermarket prices all over the lot up to $1250.00 vs $2900 for a factory top not installed.

I bought a blue top from Veteran Company in Los Angeles for my 94 993. Good canvas, included the headliner and good color match to OEM...was about $700-750 IIRC. Also had the rear window sewn in rather than the glued in on teh OEM.

Beware that this top comes without a hedliner. I'm sure that they will sell you one with headliner for about $750.
World Auto Upholstery is a well known compony that sells them in the same range. There are others, just Google.
