I have a set of 4 BBS LM wheels that were damaged in an accident. Being two piece wheels, I think they can be repaired, since the centers are perfect (other than filthy
) and maybe at the same time modify them to wider and different offset wheels that would fit my GT2 flared 993TT as a spare.
Has anyone done this before or does anyone know if they can be fixed and where?
I welcome any info on suppliers in Europe or the US as I can ship the centers irrespectively.
I contacted BBS in Germany and did not get an answer.
Appreciate your help, as I would not like to throw them away. Here is a pic of two of them, these are the clean ones

Hello Jean,
Don't know if they can be repaired but it seems a reasonable assumption given the center section is intact.
If you want to send them to me... I'll see what I can do. At my usual charity rate

Thank you Greg, Chris, I will give Bob a call today.
Monique thank you for the offer, if shipping to/from the US is too expensive I might ask for your help.
Anyone else knows about a source in Europe as well?
Best,
Jean

Jean,
You should be able to just have them ship you the rim halfs, new seals and bolts and assemble them yourself. Pretty easy job and it would save you a bunch in shipping.

Great news Greg!
For the 3 piece racing wheels on my 964T, Cargraphic Germany told me that they would need to fit them themselves. Maybe the 2 piece is easier.
Excellent!

how do you know the centers are not screwed up? Did you do a blck light test? how about trueness? I would send them in to be tested and given a n estimate and repairs. Sometimes new is better!

Garychios,
You are absolutely right and this is the first thing I did, I got them checked at the local Porsche dealership and they came out intact (which tells me a lot about BBS quality). They are removing the rim halves to check whether the centers are bent but their first impression is that they're not. These would be spare rims in any case.
Thanks for your insight.
