Default Cargraphic Exhaust

And while we are at it... any thoughts on the cargraphic exhaust?

The car I just recently bought has them installed, and I really like the sound. Quiet and throaty on low reves. Especially nice is when blipping the throttle on a downshift, the engine emits a muffled explosion...

I also have Cargraphic mufflers. I got them used, so I'm not sure if there is more than one model, but mine are definitely not quiet. They sound very nice, good rumble. There is, however, a resonance from 2800-3100 RPM. Not too bad with the windows shut. I may try switching out my motorsound airbox for stock to see if that helps with resonance, but it's not that bad so I'm not in a hurry.

I too have cargraphic exhaust installed. Much "fuller" sound but for those looking for racing decibel then it might sound a be tame. Next step for me will be the cargraphic racing cat, not so much for the performance but may be its time to replace the old cat (ten years old)?!

I did not notice any resonance around 3000 rpm (hope I am not growing deaf after 20 years of listening to a 911 engine...)

Hi Guys,

How do they comapre to the RSRs? Louder or much the same? What I would really like my car to sound like would be the 964 Porsche sports exhaust. They sound absolutely superb!

Cheers,

David

Never had any RSR's so I can not compare. I find them louder than stock, of course, but not overly loud.

I've heard the RSR's, and they are quieter than Cargraphics. The Cargraphics are deeper sounding too, at low rpm's they remond me of my old Chevy w/ glasspack mufflers, though at higher revs they don't seem much louder than stock. The RSR's have a nice 'metallic' sound that reminds of older, smaller displacement 911's. I haven't heard the 964 exhaust though so can't compare.

Just wondering: My car had them on when I bought it. What made you guys decide to go for the Cargraphic mufflers?

More opportunity than anything else, the guy at my local shop had a used set for sale. I probably would go for something else if money were no object due to the slight resonance.
