Exclamation Child seat airbag deactivation recall

There are many of us that use the Porsche child seats, and some can use the airbag deactivation clp if you have a '97 or above (I can't I'm afraid)

Anyway, there is a recall on the clip, whereby evidently the airbag is not correctly deactivated.

My wife saw this on the National Highway Transport Safety website.

If you use this feature - please check it out

PORSCHE CARS (Porsche) 1-800-545-8039

Model(s): Porsche Carrera, 911, and Boxter model vehicles equipped with the child seating system air bag deactivation kit.
Production Dates: 1997 and 1998
Defect: Due to a manufacturing problem, the contact buckle does not deactivate the air bag
Corrective Action: Dealers will install a modified air bag deactivation kit.
NHTSA No.: 98C005000 (PREVIOUS RECALL NUMBER 98E-005)
