Red face license plate lights

Fellow rennlisters, this is my first post, hope you can help!

I have a 1995 carrera and enjoy it immensely.
The problem I have is that the inside of the license plate lights become damp and corroded. So far I have cleaned and dried them out twice and the moisture returns I am out of ideas. Can someone relieve my frustrations?

Hi coolblue
Welcome to rennlist
It seems that your number plate lights or the rubber surrounding them might be damaged or taking in water if that is the case just replace them with new ones I think they should not be that expensive as they are small enough parts
I looked up the part numbers on my pet cd
base 993 631 166 00
license plate light 964 631 620 00
Try your porsche dealer or Gert at www.carnewal.com is a great person to deal with for any porsche parts if you want to send him an email.
good luck

Welcome to Rennlist, Cool! Sorry, I can't help with your question but it sounds like it's already been answered.

Archive searches via the search button are a great way to start troubleshooting any problem.

Good luck,
