Hello,
This photo shows the 993 Cup lower dash knee trim. Are these pieces available and if so what is the price?

I was told you can replace the 993 lower dash with the knee pad pieces from an '89 (or there abouts) for weight savings? That's what they look like on this Cup car.

You can order the Carrera RS knee protection bars which appear to be just like those in the picture above.

The 993RS look like the same mounting positions as the protection bar on my '89 rebuilder project I did. Try going to a dismantler and try out some used ones for size if you don't want to pay the RS price tag?

Dylan,
I don't think the knee pads from an '89 will work because the ends are a different shape, they curve up. The 993 ones are flat.

The three pieces, knee strip left, ashtray cover and knee strip right, all have the same part numbers between pre-89 and 993 RS.

Anyone wonder why the cup car doesnt have a bar from the cage in that position? Thought they did.
